IDPROM contents invalid.

I have a V250, brand new and was working fine until
we moved it. Now it gets to ok> and says
"Invalid IDPROM contents", it waits a minute and
shutsdown. Even if I boot -s, it still shutsdown
during boot.
I had a SCSI PCI card from an Ultra 5 installed and I guess
it wasn't compatible. Could the SCSI PCI card hose
my IDPROM????
I also tried the following:

ok> 0 0 mkp
but get this: ok>mkp?

do I need a password to change the idprom?

Any help is greatly appreciated.

Sounds like your HOST ID is invalid. Look at:

http://www.bagdon.com/intra/solaris/

for some mkp instructions. From what I have read, the possible problems could be you NVRAM or the battery.
