Hello all,
First post here.
The problem I have is that I need to test some Epson printer TM-88II's with a Micros IDN interface, in particular the IDN interface. No Micros systems are available to test the printers unfortunately.
I know its an RS422 interface, I have a USB to RS422 convertor but no joy in Windows communicating with the printer via HyperTerminal. Can't seem to find any Windows type drivers, not come across any interfacing info yet, but still looking.
Logic suggests that the data stream needs to send some sort of addressing info the printer (ASCII header strings?? DC1-DC4 codes??) to get it's attention (to match ID switches on the IDN board).
Does anyone have any information on software addressing / data protocol or Windows drivers which will help me please?
Many thanks,
Barry
