I tried to change the
baud rate setting in Micros/Oracle WS6 620 RES3700
using Epson TM-T88V.

Changed the com port setting in pos configurator to 38400
and changed the dip switch 1-8 on from Epson. (default is dip 1-7 on, 1-8 off)

Did not work. Did i miss some step or is there some kind of limitation in Res
that does not allow the maximum baud rate - or should i do something to stop bits, parity etc.?

TM88 IDN Printers want Dip1 2 & 7 on others off and Dip2 7 on the others off.

Ok, and what happens with that?
TM88 has 1,2,3,4 and 5 models some have different dip switch settings
mine is model 5 (V)
not IV or some other older model.

My apologies i didnt really answer the question. You are correct in that DIP 1 SW1-7 and SW1-8 are the varying dips that effect the baud rate. so on / on is the correct setting. How are you confirming that the baud didn't change ? Also you may want to try confirming the settings that the devices are getting form the network node. POSConfg - Network Node - Com Ports - Baud Rate

The baud rate might have changed, or not. Hard to say because after the baud rate change on dips and on workstation - the printing does not work at all...
