Is is possible to 'piggyback' idn printer, to have one node telling (i guess) two printers where to print.
Is piggyback same as daisy chain?

thanks again

IDN printers each have a unique address (1-15) and can be daisy chained. They can all be driven from one workstation (node?).

However you can't have 2 printers with the same address, both printing from the same workstation.

You can setup Print Classes in Micros to print to multiple printers if that is what you're after.

Hi,

regilobo is 100% correct. Think of an IDN ID as being a phone number, and the message goes through each printer sequentially, until it sees the message is for itself. It then prints the message instead of sending it on to the next one.

Between Print Classes & selecting the ORDER DEVICES for a given workstation, you can have the same print job print on many kitchen or bar printers.
