How do I change this? I have tried to change in LD 17, but keep getting an error. Can anybody help me out?

You are in the correct load. Pull out the NTP for the CFN. I believe you need the level 2 password also.

for idle set display, the only way you can change it if your slt BRAND = 2 (maybe 1 also)

ld 22 prt slt and look at the BRAND line.

Here are my notes for when I first set this:

In LD 17, chg, parm, modify? Y, enter the level 2 pwd, and the characters you want displayed on idle sets. See the input/output guide, load 17, PARM for more info.

It would also help if you posted the Error codes as they would help us figure out what your doing wrong.

This is a Signature and not part of the answer, it appears on every reply.

This is an Analogy so don't take it personally as some have.

Why change the engine if all you need is to change the spark plugs.

hiyosilver333 has it. Not sure of your software, but if sales forgot to include the free package it can't be changed. Does it still show "Nortel"? The EBLN ISM value should = 2. You do need PWD2. There is a 24 character limit. After entering the string, you answer yes to the OK? prompt.

I think you need to do a reload for that change to the idle display to take effect. You needed to reload in 25.40b, 3.0 and 4.0 t least...
