Why am I finding (about once a month) the meridian mail ports in idle state? We have Access installed, with priority ports exclusively for call usage? It just started happening. Can this be due to lack of patch upgrades for SCCS? Also, is there a report I can print from Meridian mail that may tell me more as to why the ports went idle. I'm suspecting the Access Link, but can't prove it. Please advise..Thanks!

I had this before, wrecked my head for months. This was what happened to me. At the end of each month the mail box storage with the annoncements (VPE), the password would expire and Meridian Mail would not let symposium access the announcements stored in the mail box, therefore ports would go idle. I used to have to change the password in meridian mail and deacquire all the access ports in symposium and meridian mail, then reaquire them again. Painful when you start losing calls and the customer looks at the reports. That was a fix for each month, what we did in the end was to upgrade MM 11 to latest MM 13, where the password would never expire, if you have the latest MM then set the password to never expire. Hope this helps....
