My boss has a bad habit of leaving his Procomm connected to PBXs overnight and this is adding up in long distance.
He is using Windows 2000 and Procomm 4.8. I see an idle disconnect field in modem properties but it is grayed out. I downloaded the lastest drivers for the modem (an internal Aztech) and it is still grayed out.

What external modems support this feature?, I have tried an old US Robotics 36K but it disconnects at 10 minutes when I set it to 30 or 60 minutes.

Thanks for any help!

Here's a script that will close Procomm if ten minutes have passed and no data has been received. You can increase or decrease the timeout value by modifying the 600 parameter to the when quiet command.

proc main
when quiet 600 call closedown

while 1
yield
endwhile
endproc

proc closedown
pwexit
endproc
