I have been tasked to identify sms servers present on our enterprise network. We do not use the sms client on servers (we use a competing tool for server inventory).

Can someone point me in the right direction for identifying sms servers? Either a service to look for or key file with in the sms directory?

All sms servers would show up in the SMS admin console under Site SD | Site Hierarchy | "The Site" | Site Systems

You would have to look under each Primary site

or under reports | SMS site - server information | site system roles for a specific site

Wols be a couple ways
