I currently use OE5 and have 2 seperate users using seperate email addresses but on the same domain name. e.g.

user1@domain.com and user2@domain.com

The problem is that although I have created seperate identities, if either of the users clicks on Send/Receive whilst they are in the Main Identity then ALL messages (both users) get downloaded. Is there any way to only download the relevant emails when you are logged on as that person?

Hope this is clear enough??

Cheers

Maybe right clicking on the name & selecting the command .

I don't use OE , so i'm not to sure .

Do not set both accounts under one identity.Use separate identities for each accounts.
Make account for user1 in general identity and create separate identity for user2 ,switch to that identity and create account user2 there. You can also set passwords for both general and user2 identities so that only mail for respective user is seen.
Or
Create two different identities user1 and user2 for both.Set passwords if you like. Uncheck Use this identity when starting program.OE will now prompt for identity when started.Create accounts separately for both in respective identities(in general identity you can leave some dummy account).

Bobdylan: Why not go to control panel and click on users. now create a new user and let him/her have there own desk top with own icons etc. You can then create another identity with outlook. - - Just a thought, but this is what I did and it keeps everything in perspective.

Check under Tools>>Accounts of each profile and make sure only the email of that persons profile is in the Accounts box, delete the wrong one.

Thanks, some interesting ideas there.

@ sanjeevddn - I'm sure that this is the way that it is already set up which is why I'm puzzled. I will double-check tomorrow and keep you posted.

@ onlymel - does this work with Windows ME though or just XP??

Thanks

I am using this other user account on M/E but most sure it can be used with Win 98 and XP

Quite honestly, I cannot believe you are having a problem.
