When adding records daily to a large access table, how can unique items be captured easily? Much of the daily submissions are repeated item numbers. However, occasionally, there is a new item number.
How can that item be easily identified? Could this be done in a query? Thank you.

Do you have a field in your table with a Date/Time stamp? That field would indicate when the record was inserted.

Another way (kind-of cheating) – I hope you have a Primary Key field in your table (an Auto Number maybe…?) So if you ;remember’ the last PK value, any value grater than the last PK is/are the record(s) added since last time you remembered’ the value of PK.
(I hope that make sense…)
