I have inherited a SAN and i need to determine which physical disks are in which volume set and which slot in which shelf of the SAN.
Is there any easy way to do this without going off line?

Need to know the array you're working on and what software you're using to manage it. With this info you can pinpoint everything you need to know from the disk perspective.
