Does anyone have a script to identify the user who has a record locked in a file?

fuser will tell you what processes have it open... does that help?

No, I need to get down to the record level lock. I have found lsof which tells me who has locks on the file, but would like to be able to identify *what* record they have locked.

This is probably going to be application specific.
"record locks" are a function of the application/method that the file is being accessed, not controlled by the file system.
