I know this might sound like a stupid question, but we just got our t2000 and I just wanted to confirm we got what we paid for. Is there an easy way to confirm that oure new t2000 sunfire is really a 6 core?

thanks

psrinfo -v (will show the speed and the number of
processors and the status of each)

psrinfo (will show the number of processors and the
status of each)

1.2Ghz are 8 cores
1.0Ghz are 4,6 or 8 cores

There are four threads for each processors.

8 cores X 4 threads= 32 virtual processors

Thank you for all your helpful responses. Is there an easier way just by looking inside the case?

If you look into the case you will see one physical processor (also psrinfo -p will show # of physical).

Look for the P/N on the processor.

541-0569 4 cores 1.0Ghz
541-0570 8 cores 1.0Ghz
541-0599 6 cores 1.0Ghz
541-0827 8 cores 1.2Ghz.

The "psrinfo" command is a good tool for displaying the cpu resources online.

Also COMTEC17 stated the "sc" showplatform command will
give you the info.

Some good advice here. My only worry is why are you concerned that you may have been short changed and what does that say about your relationship with your vendor?
