How can I return the current cell address ( eg. 'A1' ) into a formula?

I want to be able to paste the same formula into a different cell in many workbooks that works out a value by looking at two rows up and one column across. The cell I paste the formula into will be different for each workbook but the formula will be refering to values in the same relative locations.

Dazed and confused.

hi,

Assuming that your formula uses relative referencing, just copy & paste.

You can use R1C1 refferencing. In your case R[-2]C[-1], this is -2 rows and -1 column from the current cell.
