Weirdest thing in the world... I go to remove a bridged appearance of x5273 from x5545. The switch tells me identifier not found. I don't understand this. I do a "list bridged-app" for x5273, and it doesn't recognize being bridged on x5545. Has anyone ever seen anything like this before?? Please assist. Thanks in advance.

Sounds like software corruption. Time to place a call to Avaya. -CL

Any chance it could be a FORWARD instead. Does the button light up on x5545? Wisdom is Knowledge

Thanks All Phoneman2

Hi:

You should be able to just do "cha sta 5548" and remove the bridged appearance entry from the line. Do you see the b/a on the station when you do display or change?

I called Avaya, and here is the lowdown:

There is something called bridge records and something called button records. These two records need to match in order for a successful bridge of one station on another. If one of these gets corrupted for some reason, your pretty much screwed w/out Avaya. They have access to the software, we, the admins, don't.

F.Y.I-- for anyone who cares-- The following are the commands inputted by the engineer to get this bridge working:

Action-go Object- debugger Qualifier- l
Action- remove Object- prec Qual-pr_button
Action- remove Object- prec Qual-pr_button
Action- remove Object- prec Qual-pr_button

That's the scoop. Thanks to all for your help.
