Hi there,

This my problem. In a report I pasted a number of tables (subreports) that should be independent from each other.

In the head report the number of pages is 52 in stead of 4. the problem is that the head reports shows the first 4 pages again and again and again. The solution has to be in a wrong setting. Because the number of records in every table is 13 (52/4=13).
In addition to this, each table contains the same 13 records, but in this report I would like all the tables to be independent of each other.

So my question is: what setting is not correct and makes Access give me 13 times the same report.

Thanks in advance for the solution,

Maarten

Hi

What you are getting is exactlt correct on the basis of what you have done.

If you build a query with 4 tables and no join, you get all the a recordset containing all the combinations (think the technical name is a cartesian join)

You need to either

If there are relationships between your tables, then put them in the query

If not, should you in fact have four subreports, one for each table, glued together by a main report

I deleted all the relationships between the tables. In total I have 8 tables spread over 4 pages. The 8 subreports are inserted/pasted in one main report. In each table there are 13 identical records (in the first field).

The report of 4 pages is then repeated 13 times leading to 52 pages. If I make relationships between the tables then the report shows record after record and not table after table.

So I don´t have solution yet. Am I doing something else wrong or didn´t I understand the previous reply.

Thanks, Maarten
