Hi,

I wonder if anybody can give me an idea how to group/summarize some data. I have changing prices that I'd like to total.
Keeping the summarized values in order as they change.

My raw data looks something like this:

Part 9500-1, Price $1.10, Oty 25, 1/1/2011
Part 9500-1, Price $1.10, Oty 15, 2/1/2011
Part 9500-1, Price $1.15, Oty 14, 5/30/2011
Part 9500-1, Price $1.15, Oty 7, 6/30/2011
Part 9500-1, Price $0.99, Oty 2, 8/29/2011
Part 9500-1, Price $0.99, Oty 2, 9/10/2011
Part 9500-1, Price $1.10, Oty 10, 10/15/2011

I'd like it to look something like this:

Part 9500-1
Price $1.10 Qty 35 thru 2/1/2011
Price $1.15 Qty 21 thru 6/39/2011
Price $0.99 Qty 4 thru 9/10/2011
Price $1.10 Qty 10 thru 10/15/2011

Thanks

Hi,

I found a web page that appears to have helped me solve this issue.

In my case I was able to group on the Price.
Then I selected "original order" as the sort for that group.

So far the data is coming out like I want.
Now I'm keeping my fingers crossed -I still need to add some RTotals.

I always wondered why one would choose to use original order. Now I see how it works. Thanks.
