Ide to sata converter 1

Just wondering when using an ide to sata converter should I set every hard drive as master when using the converter or should I set them up like ide with one being master, another slave?

If it's one drive per converter then set the drives as Master. If it's two drives per converter then set one as Master and the other as Slave.

It depends on the converter
I have one that works as cable select...most work as master though
