Hi there,
I have a DVD-R dirver, CDRW-Recorder and a 12gb H.D.D conected in my pc.
Few days ago I´ve change the case so I´´ve moved all the hardware to the new one. When I turned on my machine I found that it doesn´t recognise the CDRW and the DVD if I connect them to the secondary IDE and the HDD to the first one by itself.
I tried to disconect one of them making possible to use the CDRW and the HDD, but I can´t plug the DVD as a slave in the secondary ide.
Both CDRW and DVD the devices are working properly because I´ve check them into a friends pc with a satisfactory result.
What could happen?. Am I connecting the things wrong?

Thanks a lot

Did you have both the DVD-R and the CDRW both on the secondary IDE in your old case?

Did you try both these combinations on the secondary IDE:

DVD-R Master/CDRW Slave
CDRW Master/DVD-R Slave

Have you tried slaving either of the drives off the HDD on the primary IDE? Adam

I use to have both of them on the secondary IDE and connecting them either master or slave in primary and secondary. Sometimes the ps doesn´t detect the HDD or one of the others if I don´t have one of them disconnected.
It´s really weird!.
