Hi All,
I am trying to help a skint student. He got given a computer P11 with Win 95 and a modem as above with no drivers.
When useing "standard modem" as the driver, the unit does not communicate with it.
Is this due to age/type of modem or is there a way.
He was told it was working.
Also i cannot see a part number on the modem, is there a way of finding this.

First, boot to safe mode, remove all modem(s) com ports, and anything in "Other Devices".
Restart and reinstall the modem.
Second, look on the PC board for any FCC ID #, and trace it that way, or just check out my modems page.
