IDE LED stays on

I have a fujitsu 20GB hard drive that seems to work fine in all ways except the led HDD light stays on constantly. If I switch it with another like drive, the led goes off. I'm afraid the drive will heat up if left on for long periods. Anyone have this happen before?

More likely a failure in the LED circuits and of no consequence in the long term.
