IDE HDD factory warranty

I´ve heard that IDE HDD manufacturer are getting back with the warranty to only one year.
Is this true?
Which of the following are alreday in the one year wrranty policy? Maxtor, Wetern Digital, IBM, Seagate.

Those off the shelves are still carrying a 3 yr. warranty, just bought 4 this past week...WD's...with 3 yr. mfr. warranty.
