does anyone know of any kind of corruption that can be caused by building IDC tables and assigning them to routes that would have an adverse effect on dummy ACD DNs? I've been on the phone for 2-1/2 hours with my vendor and he thinks something is corrupted and I'm wondering if anyone has ever had a problem like this. I can't get through on any of my dummy ACD DNs at a remote site via my tieline anymore. thanks for the input.

If your s/w is pre Rls21, doing changes an active IDC table is a big no no

I'm on 25.30. so i guess I'm okay then.

following my philosophy of if it breaks, what was the last thing I fiddled with, I'd lokk at putting your tie route back to the way it was before you did the IDC programming. If you can dial the ACD DN's on the local switch I don't think it would be corruption

i did all that. I removed IDC from my tieline and everything else for that matter, removed the tree, still no luck reaching any of these ACD DNs. My vendor ended up rebuilding them all as CDP. Once he did that, I built a new dummy ACD DN and what do you know, it worked fine. We were on the phone for six-and-a-half hours working on this and we really don't know what happened. But it's all good now. thanks for your help.

I forgot. We couldn't dial them either over our tieline or at that location. When I dialed over the tieline i got silence followed by a busy. When called locally, they just got silence.

Well there is another problem because the IDC has no affect on Extension to Extension dialing.

I know. It's just that that was the absolute last thing I did and after I built this tree and assigned it to every route (even the non-DID ones) is when I suddenly couldn't dial my dummy ACD DNs. The vendor who was on the phone with me for six hours said something about the pointers may have been corrupted when I made the trees. Like I said, the vendor redid all the ACD DNs as CDP/phantom TNs and then i was able to build a new ACD DN. He didn't know at all what the heck happened. A mystery to all of us.
