I have a table called RequestsforServices. The key field in the table is called RequestID. The field is set as a serial number as a unique value, it is set to display as generated, it is set to auto enter a unique value. The text is formatted in a color that will show up. I can't figure out why it won't enter the value. I am stumped. Any suggestions would be appreciated.

Can't see anything wrong for now.
Except; what do you mean with 'The text is formatted in a color that will show up.' ?

Are you sure, when you put that field on a layout, you reference the right table occurence ?

Meaning that the field color is white and the text is black.

Need more details on this, if possible, before we dig in the wrong direction.

>>The field is set as a serial number as a unique value :
which value is it and where did you format it ?

>>it is set to display as generated : meaning....

>>it is set to auto enter a unique value: double meaning with the first topic above

I have the feelingthere is a conflict here with a NULL result in your field.

Does yourfield has a '::' before the label when you put it on the layout ?
