Hi,

I am getting this error on my sun server 5.8
which causes a file srload to respawan and cause heavy traffic on the network.
on searching the net it was found that someone has made changes in the inittab file.
need help from u at the earliest.

Remove the line starting with #SV from your inttab and call init q to reread inittab - you cannot have comments in inittab which is causing your respawn problem. You may have been compromised by a rootkit attack - an attempt to install a trojan program on your system.

Thanks for the tip julian.
i removed the line from the inittab.
can i get help on how to track the movement of the hacker on my system.

Regards

Daniel
