ID keeps crashing when I select the text tool

Hi,

I'm not having much luck with this! This is the what keeps happening: I place the Word file in InDesign (2.0.2), I open it up to find missing fonts that aren't even installed on my system, that weren't in the source file, I select the text tool and InDesign closes without any warning at all.

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Hi Sam,

Try saving the word file as a txt file. Then place the text file into Indy.
Since the fonts are missing once it is placed into Indy it could mean several things from the fonts are not installed on your system to a damaged file.

Another solution is never to select the text tool. ( Sometimes we just make things hard on ourselves. )
