ID CS2 Export naming issue

We do many ads for our little newspaper, all are assigned ad numbers for a particular issue, some are then picked up for a next issue with a new number. After we open the old ad, rename and go to export, the name for the eps is defaulted to the old ad name. Same with making PDFs. Is there a way around this to prevent people from overwriting an ad from a previous time?
