I'm sure this may have been asked somewhere but I can't find a solution. I want to export a book I've been working on for some time to html for display on a web site.

I don't have GoLive so packaging won't help.

Is there a direct metod to export to html or a set of steps and programs I can use?

Not too direct but it works fairly well:

InDesign -> export PDF file -> Acrobat 6 Pro -> export HTML

Yeah, that's what I keep reading but that means I'll have to get Acrobat Pro 6. I have 5 full with Pit Stop but that didn't help.

Ah well, sombody whould write a script for that or at least something that will export into an editabele file.

This question is asked a lot at adobeforums.com : you may find other options to suit you there.

...at least something that will export into an editabele file.

It could easily be argued that ID2 did not produce editable HTML. This may be why it is not in IDCS.

Good point. I remember how bad those were. I've just started hand transferring them from the file into Dreamweaver and reformatting the text so everything fits.

It ended up being more difficult as I have to convert all the TIFF images to JPG anyway so... On with the show.
