Hi )

Can anyone tell me the difference between an ICU card and an ICU2?

Also, what is the correct cable to use for voicemail application? I already have the v24 filterboxes but must order some cables. I have TSR 902 0438 cables but they are for SIU interface, are these different to ICU cables?

Many thanks for any help

The ICU board was based on the hardware used for the IOU board and the ICU2 board was based on the hardware used for the IPU board. This was long time before the NIU/NIU2 boards.
The difference between ICU and ICU2 are:
ICU: Here you use the 3 ports BELOW the white ICU label to connect your Ericsson serial cable.
The fourth port is vacant.
ICU2: Here you use the 3 ports OVER the white ICU2 label to connect your Ericsson serial cable.
The fourth port is vacant.
So there is quite a diifrence in the hardware.
The first 3 ports (individuals) of the ICU2 is to be comapaired to the NIU (3 first ports are serial ones).
You can use the FBOXV24 (filterbox for the serial connection) to both the ICU, ICU2 and SIU.
The cables from the FBOXV24 to the PC or other application like OneBox can be "TSR 902 0438", also.
The cable "TSR 902 0039 or "TSR 902 0439" are used when modems or TAU's are used.
