I'm new to the Meridian world and have inherited responsibilities for an Option 11C. I'm been trying to figure out how a block of DIDs are being routed to a couple of MCK Extenders because I'm attempting to add another one that will be initiated by the remote unit. I made an entry in the ICS that I don't need and I now want to remove it. Can someone tell me how to do that?

Also, if there is a really benevolent, knowledgeable Meridian tech out there who can provide me with a high-level, quick and dirty overview of administering DIDs, e.g., how to route them to phones, lds to use, etc., it would be much appreciated.

MCK's are connected as a regular TN, so you would program as a regular set. As far as DID's, there is no real science here, if you are not using digit conversion, they come in as a 4 digit number that rings a telephone. You've presented two different questions both of which are vague. Are you using IDC?

thanks for the reply. because i was lost i really didn't know how to phrase it. however, i've since figure the whole DID thing out.

regarding, the first question, yes, i was attempting to use idc. in my post, i typed "ics" in error. i went to ld 49 and performed the following:

req chg
type idc
cust 0
dcno 0

idgt 2367

2367 282

this was just a test, so i now want to remove the entry i made but i can't figure out how to do that.

In LD 49:
req chg
type idc
cust 0
dcno 0

idgt X2367

ok, at the IDGT prompt precede 2367 with an x (i think) ie:
idgt x2367, ret
