ICS problem

I have three nic cards in the server. The external card has a static IP address. The second nic card was to be used for the internal network (Set for dhcp). I enabled ICS but instead of a static IP address being assigned to this nic card, it got assigned to the third nic card (which was disabled, go figure). Should I remove the third nic card to solve this problem?

multiple NICs I think means you don't want ICS but routing.
