Hi.
I'm using vba in excel 2000.
For many reasons I'm not using Msg boxes in my workbook (I built a lot of userforms even for messages).
So, my question is:
is there a way to insert, in a normal userform, an icon (for example: vbcritical)as in message boxes?
Thank you in advance for your kind suggestions.
Regards.
Nick

They are stored in .exe / .dll files. You will need an icon viewer to find them - icon viewer can be downloaded here.

Unfortunately, I don't know which dll / exe they are in....

You could also create MsgBoxes that have the" pictures that you want to have (i.e. msgbox "Test", vbcritical, "Test"), run the msgbox and press PrtScn to copy the message box to the clipboard.

Open Microsoft Photo Editor and create a new picture (size doesn't matter) ;-) and paste the message. Next you only need to crop down the "icon" that you want to keep and save it, then you can "attatch" it to your User Form by using the Image Tool.

I hope this helps!

Ok - if you don't have a graphics package, the icons you are after are in the User32.dll (Windows\System32\User32.dll on my machine)

You will need something like IconToy (can find it by doing a search on google) in order to view and save the icons
