Dear All,

does anyone know the file(s) in which the icons are stored for the Active Directory Administrative tools - such as Active Directory Users and COmputers etc.

I am just trying to publish them in my Metaframe XPe Farm, but I am unable to find the exe or dll which has these files - nothing in Shell32.dll

Has anyone got any ideas - I know this is a simple\petty thing, but we'd just like to get the right icons for the tools

cheers

We have created a customized mmc and then stored that and published it have you tried that already?

Yes I have published the actual msc - as in call mmc.exe and point it to dsa.msc - but when you publish it through citrix you will end up with a load of mmc icons - we were just trying to get the proper icons for the tools.

You guys are on the right track. I published out Enterprise Manager and AD users and computers via Citrix.

rtd4tektips mentioned opening up mmc and adding the snap-ins for the console. Once you do that, save it with the desired name and location. Publish out the mmc (which I believe is under the system32 directory) and then pointing to the drive and console name.

example: c:\%system%\system32\mmc.exe "Y:\consolename.msc"

You might have to put in the ""'s due to the 8.3 format.

That should do it.

nzpvk - thanks - this is exactly what I need. I now have a proper looking set of applications - until I can't find the next Icon I need !

thanks
