Icons that I modify or create (for use on command buttons, tree view, list view, and toolbar) degrade (the colors chage and get dark backgrounds, and the image pixelates, each time the project is compiled. However, icons that I borrow from other apps do not degrade. I have tried using various icon editing programs (Axilalis, Icon-Edit)and the same thing keeps happening. Icons degrade on project compile

I am only going to offer a guess.<br>I belive that in VB (depending on which version) that Cursors can be 256 colors, but icons can only be 16 colors maxed, when saved into the project's respository. why I dont know. <p>Karl<br><a href=mailto:kb244@kb244.8m.com>kb244@kb244.8m.com</a><br><a href= </a><br>Experienced in , or have messed with : VC++, Borland C++ Builder, VJ++6(starting),VB-Dos, VB1 thru VB6, Delphi 3 pro, Borland C++ 3(DOS), Borland C++ 4.5, HTML,Visual InterDev 6, ASP(WebProgramming), QBasic(least i didnt start with COBOL)
