Is it possible to place an icon on the taskbar or in the system tray, tray preferred, using vbscript? It would be used as a visual que that the script ran and sucessfully connected to the desired servers and printers. It doesn't have to activate anything, no hot spot, nothing.

I've been googling this for a while, no luck.

Thanks in advance,
David.

Not really.

If you launched an HTA and had it do the work for you...it would be visible in the taskbar with an icon if you specify one.

This might help if you decide to take that route:

well you could put an icon in the quick launch probably not the way you want to go. The path to the quick launch is %userprofile%\Application Data\Microsoft\Internet Explorer\Quick Launch

Just need to make sure they have the quick launch displayed.
