Hi all,
I've just installed and authorized my DHCP server and everything seems to be Ok, but on watching the IPs released, in the console is displayed a computer with a pen on the foreground instead of the common "computer" icon; it sounds weird, but if Microsoft does so it 's not by accident but honestly I have not been able to "cath the meaning";does anybody know the meaning of variation, and what's for?
Thanks in advance for your help
Leonardo

Leonardo,

As far as I know the pen icon indicates an active lease that is waiting to be updated in DNS. It's a lease that has been assigned but waiting for a dynamic update in DNS, so it won't be given to another machine until this occurs. Hope this helps.
