Hi

I've been doing a CCNA course through my local college with semesters 1+2 now complete. From my understanding that should give enough grounding to do ICND1.

Is there any benefit in doing either ICND1 now and then ICDN2 later or waiting and doing the single exam? I've heard that the CCNA single is extremely tight on time so is the two a better option?

Dinkytoy,

It is 6 of one or 1/2 dozen of another :)

Other than the cost of the exams from talking to my students who have taken the ICND exams - it is no harder or easier!!

I have always taken the full CCNA - sometimes if you DO NOT have a lot of experience taking Cisco or other cert exams it might be good just to get one in under your belt for experience sake - then if you pass - do ICND 2 if you fail do the full CCNA - but at least you will have an idea of what to expect!!!

Hope this helps!

Took a different route in the end and did an intense theory/practical session covering the bits I hadn't covered as well as going over bits already done using I then passed the ccna.

Purely due to it's nature there is less covered in CCNA vs ICND1 and 2 and in theory should then be easier if you know the material.
