I am trying to understand the various forwarding options.
Whereas it seams clear that EFD forwards external calls when there is no answer to the given DN and FD does the same just for internal calls and there is a similar relationship between EHNT and HUNT (just for busy), I am not clear as to the relationship between CFW and ICF.
ICF is presumably forward all internal incoming calls, is CFW just for external calls or does it also work for internal calls?

Call forwarding can be confusing.

If you have a phone that has a basic setup then the prompts HUNT and FDN will forward both internal and external calls on busy and no answer. This also relies on the CLS settings of FNA CFTA HBTA etc.

Later levels of software from release 19 onwards (I think?) had extra features added in so that you could split the destinations for internal and external calls ringing to that phone. Therefore new prompts such as EFD EHT were added in to allow external calls to be treated differently. This was useful if a user only wanted e.g. external calls to go to voicemail.

The prompt CFW is just the call forwarding destination that overrides the hunting and forwarding on no answer.
