The processor on our Win 2003 server is at 90-100% most of the time. The process causing the problem is IcePack.exe controlled by the service Symantec Quarantine Agent.
This is installed with Symantec Antivirus Corporate Edition version 9. I know the process works with the Quarantine. I have found very little about this on the web and nothing on the Symantec site. Hopefully someone here has conquered this problem before.

Thanks!

What else is the server doing? Quarantine Server is big, ugly and cumbersome and prefers to be on its own server. That's if you really need it--most organizations under 5000 clients aren't big enough to be major targets for the absolute latest viruses.

I haven't seen anything specific about bugs or memory leaks with the SAV 9 Quarantine Server, though.
