In ADC D1 has 3 posible values 0&1&2, can any body tell em what EL7 is used for? and in ICAT D1 what is the diffrence between speech and 3.1khz?
I have some extensions that are used to dial up a RAS for internet conecation am trying to make them as fast as posible for the users, i have noticed that if the ICAT has D1=1 instaed of D1=0, this makes the conecation faster and less disconecations are noticed, any body has any more ideas for me, never used EL7 need to know what it does and well it help me out here, what boards support EL7?

EL7 is the functional block for support of analogue extensions via a TLU76/2. TLU76/2 is a digital trunk card supporting CAS signalling. EL7 allows you to allocate analogue extensions on a Digital trunk card. Uses: One Box use this feature for Voice mail etc. Analogue extensions can be extended over a 2Mb link to remote locations, we are using this in some ares to provide extensions over DX200 microwave.

3.1Khz is the best setting for fax and modem extensions. I am not sure of the exact difference between voice and 3.1Khz.

hi
megglesfield are you shure that TLU76/2 is for CAS?

In my opinion 76/2 is for DPNSS
and 76/3 is for CAS

Hi again
Another mistake
ICAT for EL6 is different as ICAT for EL7 and EL8
D1 for EL6 is a switch between speech and 3,1 kHz and D1 for EL7 is for programming board 0=for TLU20/TLU76 and 0-F for TLU45/TLU77.
D3 is BEARER SERVICES for EL7
