I have a server running WTSE/MF1.8 and Secure ICA. We have several applications published and accessible through our website through ICA files on the web server. Things have worked well for a year until a new business partner has come online and can't connect to our apps. The issue boils down to some of the settings in the ICA file. My file looks like this:
[WFClient]
Version=2
TcpBrowserAddress=192.168.1.1 (not the real address)
[ApplicationServers]
MS Access=
[MS Access]
Address=MS Access
InitialProgram=#MS Access
<snip>
If I insert 192.168.1.1 in the "Address=" field instead of the application name, it works just fine. It appears to be an ICA browsing issue according to Citrix doc. CTX075552. My questions:
Will I compromise security if I put the IP address in the Address field?
Why wasn't it set up that way in the first place? (inherited system)
Thanks in Advance,
John
