ICA Browser - Unable to administer server

Two of my Citrix servers (NT4 TSE, SP6 and MetaFrame 1.8, SP3) keep having a problem. After they have been running several hours, I am unable to see anything about them in Citrix Server Administration. I click on them in the left pane and nothing ever appears in the right pane except the "currently gathering information about this server" message (the one that normally disappears when the currently logged in users are displayed). In the left pane, the server name perpetuelly has a question mark.

Users can log in, but administration does not work. I tried to restart the ICA Browser service, but when I try to stop it, I get a message:

&quot;Could not stop the ICA Browser service on \\<servername>.
&quot;Error 2186: The service is not responding to the control function.&quot;

Any ideas why this is happening? Any help will be very appreciated.

Thank you very much. I do have the registry key you mentioned, so I will go ahead and install the patch.

Why, though, do you suggest removing this registry key? Will that alone possibly correct my problem, or is it a troubleshooting measure?

That may fix the problem. There was a problem with SP6 and TSE. This hotfix showed up in Server Administrator with a red X through it. There was a problem with Server Administrator and Dr. Watson errors, and clearing that hotfix fixed that issue. I have also had the problem you mentioned and removing that &quot;faux&quot; hotfix fixed that issue as well.

I'm not positive that this solution will fix your problem, but it's a good place to start.
