IC 4.2 Can Inventory items be deleted in bulk 1

Is it possible to speed up deleting obsolete inventory items by selecting a range to delete?

One at a time is painfully slow.

1. Set the item status to inactive (export items, import with status set inactive)
2. Periodic Processing, delete inactive records
