IBReplication or not? 1

Hi,
We have an application written that utilises Borland Interbase and want to use replication. I have been told we need to migrate to Interbase 7.x (we are currently on 6.5) and the developer of the front-end application is currently not offering replication.

Is this something that I should even be contemplating without the support of the application developer?

We have a relatively simple structure and would want to replicate the database in it's entirity.

I would appreciate any pearls of wisdom you might have for me!

I found on the IbPhoneix web site a detailed discussion on Ib replication and some freeware to set it up

I am not at my machine so I can't post it to you try google
with interbase replication
