I just picked up an IBM xSeries 335 from an auction. Although it is dual CPU capable it has one CPU installed. POST says 1 CPU detected but Windows 2003 shows it as having two processors. Device manager shows two and the performance graphs show activity with two processors. The only possibility I can imagine is it has a dual core CPU. Is that possible? Its a 2.4Ghz Xeon.

That model uses the hyperthreaded CPU, It will show up with 2x the number of CPU's. You can turn off hyperthreading in the BIOS.
