Hi,
Has anyone had any problems using the /3GB switch under Windows 2003 Server Standard on an IBM x335 server (with 4GB RAM)?
My client is using the above configuration with a financial modelling application, which can quite happily eat up more than 2GB RAM. In the above configuration on the x335, the application always falls over once RAM usage reaches 2GB (as witnessed under Task Manager).
However, the same application is also run under the same OS (with the /3GB switch) on IBM x336 servers with 4GB RAM, and there is no issue using those.
Has anyone experienced similar problems in any context, and did it turn out to be the x335 at fault?
Regards,
Mark
