IBM x225 ServeRAID 5i

Hi All

I have problems with my ServeRAID 5i.
Sometimes when I power off and on ( my server hangs and doesn't respond, monitor and keybord is off. Only leds on ServeRAID 5i card are lightning.

One yellow led and five red

After about 15 min yellow led is off and still nothing happens.


When I replace a controler from other machine and copy configuration from disks, server boots OK. The original card replaced to other server also starts to work.

So What's the source of problem and what do leds mean ?

hi,
when you open a call to IBM, saying that your entire building is firing,
or a tsunami is arriving in your city, ,they ask which firmware level have you in your shoes !

What about FW of 5i and something about FW of HDs ?
Use last ServeRAID CD (Support) to update FW of the card
and somethinh on IBM Support site for HDs.
