IBM utilities print at 6LPI, How can I get them to 8LPI? 1

I have an account where all *STD printing is done at 8 lines per inch. Anytime I use an IBM utility it prints at 6 LPI and screws up the alignment of the printer. Does anyone know how to change this default. I did not see anything in the system values. They are at V4R5. Thank you

I would ask the following,,, what utilities are you talking about, and how is the printer defined in the AS400??

Depending on the device description, you can change the font, and make it somthing close to 8 lines per inch. You might be able to do a chgprtf, and make some changes. Need more info.

The IBM utilities are CPYF (to printer), "Print screen",and anything else generated via an IBM supplied program. Their stock paper is 8 1/2 inches top to bottom and all in-house printing is done at 68 lines per page and 8 lines per inch. The printers were auto-configed, are shuttle matrix, nothing special, and I can't change font, etc. without messing up their normal print stream.

have you looked at the ibm redbooks. Don't know if that would help or not. I'll browse around and see if I see anything interesting.

Use CHGPRTF QSYSPRT Prompt and change LPI to 8, Lines per page to 68.
