As soon as the Aloha services start an error pops up:Cryptographic Service Provider is not installed or disabled. Put the terminal back into a 5.3 Aloha and terminal works just fine. Site has other 98 terminals that work fine with the 6.1. Any ideas what could cause these in the new terminals?

Internet Explorer 6.0 or Internet Explorer 5.5, Service Pack 2 must be installed. This software is available on the Aloha POS Installation CD under the MISC folder.

After these updates are installed, the terminal must be restarted for the installations to take effect.

If DCOM98 v1.3 is already installed on the terminal, perform the following to manually configure DCOM in Windows 98 or Windows Me:

1. Run DCOMCNFG.EXE from the Windows SYSTEM folder. Select 'Enable Distributed COM on this computer' under the Default Properties tab, and select 'Enable Remote Connection' under the Default Security tab.

2. Click OK and restart Windows.

In addition, Hotfix KB315575 for DCOM ( ) should also be installed on Windows 98 and Windows ME systems.

We had already fixed it but thank you. That was exactly the problem.
