Anyone using IBM ULTRIUM-TD4 SCSI tape drives. The issue is compression on the tape.
Our library is a DL6020 from Dell. IBM is the drive mfg however we're unable to find drivers for 2008 x64. The one link on IBM's site is for 2008 x64 is for AMD64 and E64. We have Intel Xeon processor. We attempted to install the drivers however the server was not able to use them so we rolled back to the original windows drivers. 6.0.6001.18000 6/21/2006. Commvault said the earliest driver that they support for CV8.0 is 6.1.5.4. Aslo Dell doesn't have additional drivers for 2008 x64.

If anyone has the same drives and has an updated driver would appreciate a link.

Dave

If I'm not mistaken, amd64 is the same as intel64. The only different drivers if for the intanium chips (ia64).

Thanks Baddos,

Still couldn't load the drivers. Dell's attemtping to figure it out now.
